I am fulfilling my childhood dream of traveling the world!
Traveling Talia is a passion project where I share all the travel stories, insights + resources I’ve gathered along the way.
My traveling dreams formed at the age of seven- you can read my travel origin story here.
I Was Told the Same Lie So Many of Us Have Been Told…
Obsessed with an atlas my mom got me, I would flip through each page & tell my parents about all the countries I plan on visiting one day. Nothing made me more giddy than the thought of traveling the entire world!
That giddiness was shot down time after time. Like many, I was constantly told how expensive & impossible travel is.
Looking back, I have to chuckle- mainly because I once backpacked Europe with $400 to my name. When I was booking some travel after studying abroad, I saw $15/night hostels, $7 bus rides, & $40 flights. While in Southeast Asia, I never spent more than $70/night on accommodation (most nights I spent less than $20). Surely, you get my point: travel isn’t so expensive or impossible after all. Don’t get me wrong, travel CAN be expensive & some places are very difficult to travel. Some trips do require a hefty financial investment, but many places can be visited on a budget if you prioritize it!

Now, I know I just went on a budget rant, but let me make this clear: Traveling Talia is not strictly a budget travel brand. I am interested in all tiers of travel! I LOVE staying in hostels, but I also love a 5-star hotel. I love me a free walking tour, but I’ll also splurge on a special experience if I think it’s worth it. Ultimately, my mission is to show people that travel can be accessible at virtually any budget or walk of life.
Solo Traveling in my 30s

I am 31-years old and I love convincing women in their 30s to go out & travel solo!
We are the only person we are guaranteed to have in this lifetime.. We may as well embrace spending time with ourselves! I believe solo travel is an incredible personal investment. You get better at problem solving, planning, & taking care of yourself- solo travel is a real confidence booster! You open yourself up to experiences you probably would’ve missed out on if you were traveling with others. Plus, travel expands your worldview: exposing yourself to a different culture teaches you that there is SO much more to the world than your hometown. I have yet to regret taking a solo trip. My only regret is not traveling more.
My Favorite Places to Travel

I will always have a soft spot for Europe since it’s where my love is travel truly started! However, since traveling to 3 regions of Asia: Southeast, East, & the Middle East… Asia has absolutely become my favorite continent. You can read my Where I’ve Been page for more of my travel experiences & my favorite memories.
I’m *Open* to Visiting Every Country…
But it’s not a life goal as of now. I don’t want to rush myself when traveling places, and I worry that if I set a goal to visit every country, I may not have a quality experience everywhere I go.
I’m definitely fascinated by every country on earth in some way, so maybe as I continue to travel, I will decide to commit to checking off all 197 of them… but as of now, that’s not a priority.
My Love of Travel is Old, Traveling Talia is New
While I’ve loved travel for most of my life, I officially committed to travel content in July 2025. There is still a lot of uncertainty as to where this project will take me. I am currently focused on sharing my travel stories & the advice/resources Ive collected along the way. I have a LOT of travel ahead, so it is possible that my approach will change over time. I’m sure there will always be similarities: I will ALWAYS want to encourage women to travel with or without anyone. Beyond that, I don’t know yet!

I hope you’ll follow me along this journey and I hope you can take something from my travel experiences.
Thank you for being here!
A Little More About Me
I am born & raised in the PNW- more specifically, I grew up 45 minutes south of Seattle.
I have an Italian greyhound named Mango. I love her more than anything. When I’m traveling, my parents take care of her- she’s a family dog!
I love paddle boarding, baking, and yoga!
I was a personal trainer for almost 5 years after I went through dramatic weight loss. While I eventually decided to leave the industry, I will always love living an active lifestyle.
